Could my data really be worth $10k–$1M?
That is the opportunity range we explore, not a guaranteed payout. Value depends on the volume, detail, uniqueness and quality of your records, your rights to license them, and what a buyer needs. Some records may have no commercial fit. A free review is the next step.
How does the calculator work?
It is an illustrative planning model, not a market appraisal. Team size multiplied by years in business is a rough proxy for record volume: under 15 gives $10k–$35k; 15–59 gives $25k–$100k; 60–249 gives $75k–$250k; 250–999 gives $150k–$600k; 1,000+ gives $250k–$1M. For a business under one year old, it uses one year. Industry and software help us review fit but do not change the modeled range. These bands are assumptions, not observed buyer prices. A real valuation requires a data review.
Who would buy my data?
AI labs and companies building industry-specific AI may license real-world business records to train and evaluate models. We help identify potential buyers and prepare an opportunity for review. References to ChatGPT and Claude explain the category; they do not imply a partnership or a committed buyer.
What about my customers’ privacy?
We start with a conversation, not your raw records. Before any data is shared, we help review your rights, customer permissions and confidentiality obligations, define the scope, and remove identifying information where appropriate. De-identification reduces risk but does not guarantee anonymity. You approve the terms before any transfer.
Do I need a big company or a particular CRM?
No particular CRM is required. ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, spreadsheets and other systems can all be a starting point. We welcome enquiries from owner-operators and larger teams. Fit depends on the actual records and buyer requirements.
Am I selling my business or giving away my data?
You are exploring a licence to use a defined dataset. You keep your business. Ownership, permitted uses, exclusivity, retention and payment are set out in the agreement you approve. An enquiry does not grant us permission to access or license your records.
What does it cost, and when would I get paid?
The initial enquiry and opportunity review are free, with no obligation. Any preparation costs, service fees and payment schedule will be agreed in writing before you proceed. Payment happens under a completed buyer agreement; timing and a sale are not guaranteed.

Pros DataX is operated by MMOD, Inc. We collect the contact and business details you submit to assess your enquiry, send a confirmation, and contact you about data licensing. We use Cloudflare to host this site, store enquiries and send emails. We do not sell your enquiry details, add you to a newsletter, or request business records through this form. Enquiry records are retained for up to 90 days on this website; email correspondence is retained as needed to manage your enquiry.
